What are Faux Mink lashes?
Faux mink is synthetic mink, a more cost-effective alternative for producing lashes. They are usually made from polysynthetic or silk fibers designed to imitate mink fur. (ZIDIA Red Carpet Collection)
How to apply false eyelashes
- Apply your makeup, put on eyeshadow, and define the lash line with eyeliner or an eye pencil. Apply mascara to your natural lashes so they blend in with the false ones.
- Fitting the false eyelashes. Carefully remove the false lashes from the packaging using gentle pressing movements with your fingers. Place the strip against your natural lashes to determine the required length. If the strip is too long, trim the excess with small manicure scissors (cut from the outer edge, where the lashes are longest).
- Applying the glue. False eyelashes require special glue that will securely fix the lashes to the eyelid without sticking them together and will allow you to remove them quickly. Holding the lash strip with tweezers (or your fingers), carefully apply a thin layer of false eyelash glue along the entire length of the strip, paying particular attention to the corners. The glue can be applied directly from the tube, or you can squeeze a small drop of glue onto a special stone and then use a microbrush to apply the glue to the lashes.
- Be sure to wait 30–40 sec. for the glue to begin drying.
- Applying the lashes. Be careful: false eyelashes are attached to the eyelid (as close as possible to the natural lash line), not on top of the natural lashes! Start applying the lashes from the center of the eyelid. Carefully place the strip in the desired position and secure the false eyelashes with gentle pressing movements of your fingers. Then position and secure the remaining ends of the strip.
- To complete the look, you can go over the false lash line once more with eyeliner or an eye pencil. If desired, you can lightly apply mascara to the lashes or curl them with an eyelash curler; however, these steps should only be performed after the glue has dried completely.
How to remove false eyelashes
To remove strip lashes, gently pull the lashes from the outer corner of the eye; they will then come off with a light movement of your hand.
